But then again, back then watches were not what they are today. The only part of the story I truly find mysterious is their watches stopping. That's a very 1960s conception of technology. You can only hear and talk about these stories so many times before they have to start having an impact, especially considering they related in their minds to what they considered a UFO experience.Īnd do I think they saw a UFO that was operated inside at least partially via levers on the walls that they would pull? No. Yes, I'm also open to the idea of Barney absorbing the stories around Betty's dreams, which apparently were a favorite topic of conversation for her and her friends, often times while Barney was in the room.
